My Fatal Flaw #Microfeats

My Fatal Flaw. You know your limitations, and even though they sometimes allow foes to escape and cowed villains to resurge, they are also part of what makes you a hero. You can spend a brownie point to prevent you or an ally from being killed (leaving you unconscious but stable), or to prevent the loss of any item you have owned since before you gained your previous level (if you are 5th, it applies to things you got at 3rd or earlier). You get to explain what event or precaution saved you.

If you take out a foe the GM expected to last longer or escape, the GM can offer you a brownie point to explain what you did wrong (or at least didn’t take precautions against) to cause the foe to become a threat again, or escape (as appropriate). If the GM likes your explanation, the foe is restored or escapes, and you get a brownie point
